HEAPI works across three core areas: Climate Litigation, Health Rights, and Digital Rights. Across these areas, we use strategic litigation, legal advocacy, research, public education, and community engagement to defend rights and promote accountability.
Our work is guided by the understanding that many rights violations are interconnected. Environmental harm may affect health and livelihoods. Digital restrictions may undermine civic participation and access to information. Weak accountability often deepens vulnerability and exclusion. For that reason, HEAPI approaches public interest work in a holistic, rights-based way.
Climate Litigation
We support legal and advocacy efforts that address environmental harm, land injustice, displacement, and the human rights impacts of climate-related and extractive activities.

Digital Rights
HEAPI defends rights in digital spaces and in relation to technology, data, communication systems, and civic participation.

• Responses to unlawful surveillance, censorship, internet restrictions, and technology-related abuses.
• Legal education and public-interest analysis on emerging digital-rights issues.

Our work is informed by the experiences of affected people and communities. We engage with community realities not as an afterthought, but as an essential foundation for meaningful and ethical public interest practice.
